Welcome to the forums. I assume that this cradle is a hands-free cradle for use in your car?

I'm guessing that they are picking up lots of engine/road/wind noise. You're just putting your phone on speaker during these calls?

But my point is that you're not using a Bluetooth headset or anything, the phone is basically acting as a hands free speakerphone, right?

I'm guessing it's just engine/road/wind noise they're picking up on the other end. When you go into "hands-free" or speakerphone mode, your phone turns up the gain on the microphone so that it can pick up your voice clearly from a farther distance away. Unfortunately, it's amplifying all the other noises too. I recommend you look into a BT headset or a wired earpiece if your phone supports it. There's not much else you can do. You don't have your windows down / fan blowing on high while you're talking do you?

I had the same thing on a Nokia car cradle, great for me, bad for other party. The installer had put the mic on the A pillar. I moved it to above the windsheild on the headliner aimed at me, no more reception noise for the other party.
