I just bought the IVA-W200 and had the nave unit. I hooked both to power in the basement to make sure everything worked, and it did. Now that it's installed in the car, the nav unit won't read the cd. I did'nt have this problem in the basement.

Yes. Everything else works.The nav won't read the disk. It starts to spin and then stops. I didn't have this problem when I hooked it up in the basement.

 

So a regular DVD movie plays back then? That would mean that the DVD laser is working.

Did the unit come with two disks like an East coast/West coast disk? If so try the other disk as it sounds like the disk is damaged/bad now.

The nav unit is seperate, so playing a movie doesn't matter

 

Power down--disconnect it and re connect the power and reset it. My old Alpine Nav had a reset button. If not, return it and get a new one.

BTW, how did you hook it up in your house?
