Replaced Front Speakers and Tweeters
I replaced the front speakers and tweeters on my Touring Bose system. Big difference in sound. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to gut the whole system.
It was installed professionally at my local car audio place.
I had them put in two MB QUART DSD216 (speaker w/separate tweeter). Cost with installation: $350.00
Here is a link to these speakers:

the pic of the mq quart set is not the DSD216. those look more like QM218 Q series. If u got the Q series installed for $350, i say that's a pretty pretty good deal. But if u got the DSD216 installed for $350, that's somewhat on the high side because those DSD216 go for around $120 a set on ebay..

Is it very difficult to break the doors down? Did you have any maunals or anything to assist you with this? I would like to change out the speakers myself but I'm worried about damaging the moldings.
I switched my front speakers last night with some Infinity perfect kappa components and the sound is so clean and crisp. Compared to the new speakers the stock speakers was like listening to the stereo with your ears plugged. The instructions from shindem are very detailed and it took a couple of hours. The only thing I did differently was to reuse the stock speaker spacers(cut out the stock speakers). The new front speakers along with the 10" Infinity perfect kappa sub powered by a Rockford mono amp that I had already installed earlier almost completes the system. The next project is the change out the factory HU.
I agree with Intrepid and HIGHLY recommend that you replace the factory speakers.

I just replaces my factory speakers with Rockford Fosgate.
Sounds a whole lot better and the addition of a cross over in the
door panel helps the tweeters a whole bunch.
The rear speakers I think are a different ohm, but the replacesments still play, but like the stock speakers they have very low volume level, suposedly for "backfill" only.
My new sub arrives today, that should help alot also.
I just spliced into the existing speaker wires. And, there was
plenty of room between the door and the door panel for the
addition of the crossover.
I tried to calculate the wattage of the speakers, I calculated approx 75 watts for the front speakers (but I didn't know what I was doing)
I measured 11.6 volts and 6.5 amps
w = v * amps
11.6 * 6.5 = 75.4 watts peak for the front speakers
10 * 5 = 50 watts peak for the rear speakers
and
2 * 200 = 400 watts ( I don't trust this number)
I also measured the ohms on the front and back speakers and
got 2 ohms, not the 4 and 32 that where reported before.
(not that I know what I'm doing...)
Anyone know if it that's correct.
