Hmmm - that is an interesting idea. Can you please snap a picture so I can see the exact location behind the gaugues? I would really appreciate it.

On another note - just thought I'd ask....For those of you with the SIR-ALP1 or the similar one for Pioneer head units like I have - do you ever have trouble tuning to certain channels? It is odd, when I try to scroll through the channels manually, it skips over large amounts of stations - like it will go from 104 to 181 or something, when I know there is a lot in between. Why does this happen? any ideas?

I did my Sirius like this except my antenna is under the plastic. You can't see mine at all and no cutting or drilling needed. Reception is great even in my garage.

Oh well...the pic didn't work but it's on the left side of the strut tower under the plastic trim panel. Works good.
