Default Replacing stock cd unit w/ bose cd6 stock unit

Does anyone know if the stock bose cd6 will fit in the place of the stock single cd player? I'm just wanting to upgrade to the 6 disc changer. Thanks.

The Bose HU will not work with the regular stock system.

So if I want to replace my stock hu with the bose hu would I need to buy the bose amp also? Would I be able to keep the stock speakers? All I want to do is upgrade my cd player to a 6 disc player.

I don't remember the exact terminology but the Bose components work off of differential signals whereas all other HU's and components work off of absolute signals. Without convertors, you can't mix Bose components (HU, speakers, amps, etc.) with normal ones. What people are trying to say is that it's not worth the trouble and expense to add the Bose HU for marginal gains. The same money would be better spent buying an aftermarket HU/CD changer.
