Default Navigation DVD Unit: Infiniti Vs. Nissan

Soooo, my "DVD Navigation Unit" is broken and the warranty ran out etc...
The dealer wants $4K for a new one....which I think is hilarious so my options are really limited to Ebay or finding one on here.

Now, I found one on Ebay for a fair price ($250) BUT it's from a 2005 Infiniti G35 and I have a 2003 350Z.

The model number on mine is: 25915 AM613
The model number on Ebay is: 25915 AC704

I thought that the only numbers that really mattered were the first 5 and the last 5 describe the vehicle/year it came in.

Does anyone know for sure if the Ebay one from the 2005 G35 will work in my 2003 350Z?

Thanx for any help!!!!

Update:
I found a DVD unit from a 2005 Pathfinder for a good price and it's on it's way to me now. Just in case anyone else is ever in the same boat as me I'll post the results of what happens when I plug in the Pathfinder DVD unit in the Z.

Since it is from a 2005 model, I guess my navigation CD from my 2003 unit won't read? I thought I read somewhere that I can only use CD's from 2003 and 2004 years and the 2005's can only use CD's made in 2005+

Well my DVD unit arrived.

I plugged it in and.............. nothing

I'm not sure if it's because it's from a 2005 Pathfinder or what but it doesn't want to talk to the screen.

I hear the disc inside spin and load but the screen is black. So maybe I bought a broken one of eBay?

Then I went to plug my old one back in and it started beeping at me and then the screen powered back on and looked like this:

So I'm now stuck with 2 Nissan factory DVD units both of which don't want to work in my car

go with the Alpine Navigation unit.

less than 1/2 of what the stealership wants and way more features.

It may come down to aftermarket but for now I just want what came with it to work!

I got a few offers from members on here looking to sell their DVD units so I'll try it again.
