Most of the cig plug at radioshack have a 2 amp fuse in it max, meaning it can power anything up to about 26 watts. The casetronic cases require 4.58 amps.

Now some the EE's out there might be able to tell you if you can pop that 2 amp fuse and throw in a 5 amp fuse...without cause a fire or causing harm to your MB.

Well here are the Specs for the VIA m10000(1GHz) mainboard.
Now i know why it will not work all the time it nee 90w to 120w!!!

The EPIA M utilizes an industry standard 20-pin ATX main connector to the power
supply. Due to the EPIA M platform’s ultra low power requirements a 90 – 120 Watt
ATX power supply is ample for even the heaviest of multimedia system applications.
1 +3V 11 +3V
2 +3V 12 -12V
3 Gnd 13 Gnd
4 +5V 14 PWR_ON-
5 Gnd 15 Gnd
6 +5V 16 Gnd
7 Gnd 17 Gnd
8 PWR_GD 18 NC
9 5V_SB 19 +5V
10 +12V 20 +5V
Note: NC = no connection

So i need a 150w to be safe

Where'd you get the numbers Chazzg?

That's interesting that the M9000 and M10000 are built on the same platform and are only 67Mhz difference in speed...yet one requires 90-120 watts of power and the other can run in a 55-60 watt case.

Opus emailed me today and advised that their latest/greatest 12vdc power supply is still another 4 weeks out.

Originally they had advised this unit would be available in January.

I think that about writes-off Opus for me. Just can't trust them on way they say they will have the product to market. And I had almost convinced myself that spending $150 on a power supply was not absurd.

Ok so I Solved my power problems. I was Checking out all my options, and realized that the power supply in the Casetronics 2699R case that I got at Fry's (which I was using for the 1GHz) was not the same as the PS in the case I was using for the 600MHZ. So I check out the stats on each one. The Morex DC/DC (on the left) is only 53w. But the Casetronics PS(on the right) is 59.9w. So I swapped them out. No power probs since. The M boards need at lest 55w to run. I know it not allot of headroom but it has work fine so far with EVERYTHING plugged into it....

Good job Chazzg.

I ordered my Casetronics 2699R last night. I'm 99% sure it won't be enough power to run my 3.5" hd, and (2) DVD drives, plus all the USB stuff, but maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

I am going to keep an eye on www.mini-box.com, as they should have their similiar 90W DC-DC board available in a month. Then, I hope to either just use the 90W, or use both power supplies together.

My Casetronics PS is working fine using the AC adaptor, powering the mobo, a 3.5" 60gb Maxtor drive, and a slim DVD player. It probably wont be enough once I add another DVD drive, and some usb devices.

I did get an update today from mini-box.com, and for those using the Epia M9000, they should have their 'plug-in' DC power supply available in 4 weeks, for about $50. I like this PS in that we can run it parrell with the Casetronics PS, and I think both will fit in our cases.

Here is a pic of the upcoming 60w (or maybe it is 70w) plug-in PS.
