Default tinting Question

Tell me if this makes any sense please. If I tint my windows all of them except windshield down to 25%, 50% is legal for front in Virginia , then I hook up a little switch to shutdown the window roll up button. If a cop pulls me I would roll all my windows and if he asked me to roll them up to check I would tell him that something must have broke and they would not role up and show him by pressing the button.

Think this would work?

It may you get you of there at the time, but more than likely the cop would be pissed because he just saw your windows up (i.e. he noticed the excessive tint), and would assume you were lying. You'd probably get a fix it ticket to bring the car to the station when the windows were corrected and have them mesaured. Also, you'd be running the risk of having the cop completely tear you a new one by searching your entire car for any ticketable offense. You may think you don't have any issues, but you'd be surprised what you can be ticketed for... I once got a ticket for having an air freshener hanging from the mirror...

Not worth it.

Will that switch still function if there's a serious accident with medical injuries so that your insurance company inspector doesn't find that your illegally tinted windows weren't a self-caused limiting factor of their liability?

True, I am probally not going to actually do it however you could just keep a wrench with you and smash your windows.
