I just installed everything as the directions directed and as soon as i powered up the car.. all i get is this "Please Wait" display.

Currently, ive been waiting for 20minutes. Has anyone had this problem? I hope my product isn't defective.

fawk, is this a common problem for harman kardon or do you think it's just defective?

 

this system has many glitches. I plugged my ipod in and ended up messing up my ipod hard drive. But now its ok but its slow as hell and takes a long a$$ time to load a playlist. Other than that its ok but you need to get a aftermarket headunit in order for it to sound cd quality. I had the FM Modulator in my factory radio and it sucked.

 

I just think it's screwed, get it exchanged.

 

damn took me 3 hours to hook that **** up. arg im real frustrated.

 

sounds like a defective unit. i just had it installed. $69.00 labor... just to save myself the headache.

nvm i got it to work. The connection for the display came lose.

The quality is all right, the only realiable wow factors are the display and controls. I still get the static treble sound with the FM modulator but hope to solve this issue if i just took out the car antenna all together.

Reviving an old *** thread I know, but I just picked up a first generation drive+play for my Z from Best Buy and it works perfectly, this thing is great and looks cool. The screen fits perfectly in the cubby hole. Anyone else with one?

PS: I'm using stock 03 non-bose & non-nav headunit with an Ipod Touch 2g.
