Default Sub questions

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting in an after market sub in the space where the bose sub goes, I have a 2006 base and I'm wondering what you guys would advice that I get, how much power, what is the difference between a free air sub and a regular sub that goes into an enclosure?
What happens if I put a regular sub in this area? Wouldn't it be considered an enclosed area?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't put a sub in there unless you completely seal it off. Most people make a fiberglass box that fits in the area.

Well actually you can get the correct space for some subs, but regardless you can never get it completely sealed. Well unless you take out your oem seatbelts and use a 4 point harness.

Specs are based on what sub you use.

Oh I see.

My sub is a Pioneer TS-W1041C. On the site it states "Low-Q Design for use in Small Sealed Box (0.6 cubic foot recommended)".

Could anyone recommened me a size for a box to fit in the standard section? Thanks..

Heres a link.
