Installed ND-BT1 Bluetooth, First impressions
Well I just finished pulling the Z1 out to install the Pioneer ND-BT1. It works as far as I can tell with about 20 minutes of playing with it. One thing I have noticed immediately is that if you have a restricted phone (like the V3C razr from Verizon) you might not want to bother.
Its great technology but the phone I use has V-cast, meaning Verizon puts software on the phone which forces you to use their V-Cast service to pay for ring tones and wallpapers (which is horsesh1t and I can avoid that by using Motorola Phone tools and editing the INI file to detect the phone as something else besides a V3c) That same software prevents you from sending your address book to the Nav system, as soon as you try, the phone immediately disconnects.
I will be giving this phone the heave-ho in favor of an unlocked phone. Other than that the pioneer ND-BT1 works great.

Hope you don't mind, if you do I will remove. Anyhow, unfortunately the D2 doesn't have the internal components to work with the Bluetooth. The ND-BT1 is just an antenna.

This will definitely be my last locked phone I ever purchase (pretty sh1tty how they disable the best features to coral you into using their pay service). Funny thing is I could care less about ring tones or wallpapers. If anyone wants the walk through PM me.
I don't think Pioneer has a workaround for Verizons crippling firmware, this is definitely a phone issue, not a problem with pioneer blue tooth.
