Help with Slot to Round port
Guys,
I'm trying to build a box to JL specs but want to use a round port/ports instead of a slot port. I think I know my answer but would do I just need to cut the port length or ports to mimic the same internal space requirements of the slot port? Then compensate the internal box size for the difference of the round port versus the slot port?
Slot Width x Slot Height x Slot Length
(1.25” x 10.5” x 24.875”) /1728 = .1889 sq/ft
Port Width x Port Length
3" x 11.5"
(PI x 9 x 11.5)/1728= .1888 sq/ft
Am I way off and need to go back to school?

Can you fit a 4" port?

Shouldn't that be (r^2 * PI * L) ?
