Just took delivery on a Track model with stock audio and want to add a 6-CD changer. Dealer quotes $600 for their "stock" CD changer installation. Is there a unit I can buy at my local stereo store that will work with the stock head unit and cost less?

Do you mind having a wired controller that you have to mount somewhere to change discs? One of these RF units can be put in any car that has a radio. It would be less than the $600 unit, but then there is installation, not sure what that'd cost. That would be like $150-250 roughly I believe, for an RF unit. As far as a unit that would work like the factory unit and could be controlled through the head unit, there might be a way, but probably not yet for the Z. Some companies make adapters to make units work with factory headunits, but I don't know of anything for the Z.
