Default Pioneer Avic-Z1 in cubby?

I did a search and I am still confused about whether or not the Pioneer Avic-Z1 can be installed in the 2006 cubby or not. Can someone please direct me towards another thread or give me a search topic that will bring up install pictures and directions to install it in the cubby if they exist.

It's pretty big. Mine replaced the stock system. You can find my pix in "picture share", thread titled "My Fairlady Z". I used the cubby for my iPod, and switches for other functions.

Darn, I didn't want to believe that it wouldn't fit in the cubby.

yeah i dont think it'll fit either, however you can buy an 03 cubby and install a fahrenheit screen into the cubby hole and use it to display movies with the z1 in the stock location
