Default After Market vs. Bose...

Hey guys,

I am looking at buying a new 2006 Z and trying to decided between the enthusiast and the touring. Do you think it is work ~4000 for the bose 6-disc and speaker or would the money be better spent after market. Also does any have any ideas for me to put in an aftermarket system at that price. I am looking for dvd/nav, ipod integration and possible speaker up grade (subs?). Please let me know what you guys think!

Cheers,
Cheetah

Only get the touring if you really want leather. You can put together an audio system for $500 that sounds better than the factory Blose. If you're considering a $4k aftermarket system you will be horribly disapointed with either factory stereo.

Do what I did, get an Enthusiast and put your own rims and system in. You'll get better gear for less money and be unique.

Hi y'all, I'm a man on an island... maybe I've never been exposed to a good enough car stereo to appreciate the difference, but I really like my Touring's Bose 6-speaker piece of work. I'd trust the majority here, just putting in my 2 cents.

we in the car audio industry say "if its got no highs, and its got no lows...its gotta be bose.."

in all seriousness, the bose stereo that comes in the Zs is by far one of hte "premium" stock systems i have ever heard, bar non, my legacy GT's stock stereo, IMO sounds a lot better

im not an audiophile but i dont mind my bose at all...although i only play my ipod through it which helps in changing the sound characteristics. Anyways if your even thinking about getting an aftermarket system the enthus. is hands down the best deal out of all the models.

Damn I just got my 06' Z with the Bose system and it sounds amazing. Its clear and the 10" sub adds just the right amount of bass for my tastes.

Any questions? They didn't make the 35th Anniversary without the Bose bption. In contrast my '06 Nissan Xterra has a pretty nice Rockford-Fostgate system. It's lacking a decent subwoofer as the factory one is stuffed under the driver's seat but it's at least better than the Bose in the Z.
