Default Tach signal

I have a TraqMate data logger and would like to tap into the tach signal so that I can log RPMs. Can anyone help me out with finding a good place to tap in to get a tach / RPM signal?

if that doesn't work, you can grab the Tach signal wire where the wiring bundle comes into the interior, behind the battery (Check the nitrous section - lots of ppl use the tach signal for window switches)

I have the Zeitronix unit and got the RPM signal by tapping into the wiring harness under the dash going to the ECU. You need to find out which wire provides signal from #1 cyclinder. Check with your local service department as ECU pin number and wire color have probably changed since doing mine in 2004.
