hi there i wanted to search this but i have no idea what im looking for
basically my car got brokened into and a junkie has stolen my jvc dvd deck that was no longer functioning
i bought a new one from a guy on here and was wondering, if i just get the shop to hook up all the wires, will it still play DVD's while i drive?
i have a good friend that watches DVD's when we go to sporting places while i drive and i dont want the Deck to make it Stop playing when the car is in motion...

By default most DVD players will not play video on the front screen. In many places that's not only dangerous but illegal. There are ways to defeat various decks but it differs model-to-model and manufacturer-to-manufacturer.
On most players there is one wire that controls this function. It attaches to the e-brake handle. You can just permanently ground this wire to make the player believe that you are never in motion. But as mentioned above this is illegal.
I know with my Alpine W-200, I had to intergrate a toggle switch between the brake/e-brake line,,,as to show a varience in order to make it work in motion, Again,,this is Illegal.....just be careful.
I know with my W-200, its not only the ebrake, but the brake pedal as well. And, I do think it takes more than just the ebrake click method. It works in sync with your brake pedal being pressed every so often,,,I'm only speaking from experience with my W-200. I am not sure about other headunits...

Actually, its very, very rare I ever watch a movie while driving...Except sometimes late at night on the interstate,,,maybe a **** here and there. Nothing like "moans" coming through your speaker/sub system. LOL
