Just curious if anyone knows if the base stereo system has a seperate amp from the HU? And if so where is is located in the car? Thanks for any help.

 

Nope, only the bose has seperate amps....

 

Thanks, just trying to find a good place to tie in the remote wire from a new amp for the sub.

 

for best quality , get it from right behind the head unit with a line level converter....... Its not that hard to pull apart the center console...

 

I think he means for the on/off of the amp. I ran mine from the head unit. That way it will turn on and off with the head unit. Some people just run it from the fuse box. I think the wire was blue and white. I just tapped it when I installed my alpine.

 

Thanks, the on/off was what I was looking for. I will give it a shot, any instuctions on the center panel off?
