Well I just got enough $ over the holiday to buy a new deck.
I want one that controls the ipod through the head unit, charges it, and is single din so i can get a dash kit w/ an extra cubby hole to put my ipod/cell phone in.

I was looking at the alpine cda-9856 and the ICEE wire that goes with it for <$200. Does anyone else have another good suggestion for <$250? Preferably something best buy sells because I have gift cards to there.

You can get an Eclipse Deck on Ebay for that amount, comes with 8volt preouts... Isn't Best Buy, but I wouldn't buy anything from them anyway

 

I have a 9857 pretty much new for sale =) I'll sell for $220 shipped with the ipod cable.

 

whats the major difference between the 56 and 57? because i dont care a whole lot about pre-outs and what not... i dont plan to add a sub or amps or upgrade my speakers... im basically replacing my stock headunit because the cd player broke and im out of warranty, i want a little pocket in the dash, and i want to be able to directly plug in my ipod....

 

i have the 9856 the 9857 there is not much diffrence. except someone once told me it has faster ipod interface searching. i dont own an ipod and never will so i dont really care.
