Default One 10 enough?

Don't really dig massive bass, but would one 10 still be enough?

Yes, and depending on what brand you get, some are louder than others.

One 10 inch is plenty. It also depends on the type of subwoofer or brand to.

I've been searching around on a "how to" throw in a different 10" sub behind the driver seat and can't seem to find a thread. Can someone help me out with this. All i really wanna do is throw in a different and "better" 10" sub where the crap BOSE one is currently residing behind the driver seat.

I would look for a free air driver from say Cierwin vega or another manufacture and then have a compitent shop do the swap.

i believe that someone on this board, makes and/or sells speaker boxes that fit in that area behind the seat, you still won't get that "umph" by just replacing the speaker

the problem with just swapping out the speaker for a new 10" is that the space is not enclosed so if you do just a direct swap you need to pick a sub built for free air design, this will severely limit your choices. I would suggest either getting the sub enclosure that fits in that spot made by www.wickedcas.com or to get the under the strut box and throw a good 10" in there.

What are some decent free air subs? All I can find are the Kicker COMP's, some by Infinity, and some older Pioneer that I can't find anymore.

I have 1 10" sub with a wickedcas side magic box and it's plenty enough for me.. it's enough to make the hair on the back of my head stand up when i have the volume up..

I have one Alpine Type-R 10" under my strutbar and it's PLENTY. I have my amp tuned almost all the way down to lessen the amount of boomy hits. I'm changing my headunit out next week to better fine tune things but one 10" is definitely enough bass for such a small car.

How many threads are you going to make?

Try one "Please help me with my new stereo" thread and ask everything in there.

One 10 is enough. I hate subwoofers that shake houses as you drive by. Very annoying, don't see how they can be enjoyable to anyone. The stock 10" Bose is about right for me. Sounds good...packs a punch but not an obnoxious one. If I upgraded I'd probably just get a higher quality 10" to replace it. I wouldn't want any more.
