Default pioneer harness

I am using this harness for my avic-z1

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do

and I bought this adapter to go from the vehicle harness to the pioneer without cutting any wires or soldering..

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do

but when I tried inserting this harness to the pioneer, but the black end of this harness is too fat for the avic-z1.

Has anyone used this? It seems that I can shave off the sides a little bit and it will fit.

Thanks in advance!!

Yeah I ran into the same problem with the 6800, i still used the smart harness and cut the wires i needed from the pioneer smart harness side and wired it to the harness that came with the deck. Make sure you connect the remote amp wire to the stock wiring to power the FM amp i didn't and i need to go back and do that. Good thing is i have other stuff to install. I hate taking the dash apart.
