I am lookung to replace the speakers behind the seats. I belive they are 6.5" speakers. I wan to replace then with Image Dynamics CT-X6 speakers. Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock rear fill speakers?? How deep ; wide etc?? Thanks!!!

 

Yes, they fit. The rear speaker holes fit 6.5 inch speakers and have a lot more depth than you need for the speakers you ask about --Spike

Yes. It has been 3 years since I did this, but I remember thinking it should be simple and it wasn’t. Exposing the rear speaker holes was more difficult than I thought it would be. Once there, I had to make a custom mounting ring to since the holes didn’t align (of course). What surprised me was the awful construction of the stock speakers. No one would ever save these. +1. all the speakers are junk in the Z!!!! I just replaced mine - quite some work to get to the rears, and the fronts, am i the only one replacing the stock wiring for better wiring?? i dremmeled a hole deep enough to run a small 18 ga power wire for lighting effects and used 12 ga wire for the aftermarkets. i dont like the crappy way nissan put the sound together on the Z. my 00 trooper and 01 330ci sound way better.
