elemental designs nine.1

clean and very powerful.

1x450 at 4ohm

1x900 at 2ohm

1x1200 at 1ohm

$350 bucks brand new with warranty just turn the gains down so you get nice dynamic headroom to the subs without overpowering them

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=44

i would get the single 4ohm version subs so you end up with 2ohm config for both subs, to get 900 total watts frmo the amp, no need to drop down to 1 ohm for hte 1200 watts

this amp will honestly blow any phoenixgold octane R out of the water...not even close

the only thing i see wrong is th phoenixgold octane R amp, its nothing like a rel PG amp, and prone to breaking down to be honest...

if you are looking for a little less money...there is also the Elemental Designs nine.2x whih does abou 1x700 wat 4ohm (so get two dual 4 ohm 10w3s, or two 2ohm or 8ohm 10w3s), the 9.2x is around 275 shipped....

also, keepin gin mind that once you do these subs, and dont upgrade your mid/hgih speakres wtih an amp, the subs are going to heavily over power the front stage and they are going to have a really hard time keeping clean and sounding good...just my take

i would have saved a little money, and got a 3 channel amp, one sub, and forget about the fiberglass sub box, and use the extra money on a set of decent front speakres

here is just an example if someone came to me with 800 dollars (sans your headunit purchase)

DLS classic line CA31 3 cahnnel amp 2x75 1x300 watts $300
Zen Enclosure box with single elemental designs 11kv.2 20" sub $350
DLS classic line 426 comonent coaxial for front stage: $150

have a niec balanced sound...of course you wont have as much bass as the two subs and double the power, but in a small hatch like the Z, bass is not an issue...

just my design for that budget

there are some decent stuff on there, namely diamond and OZ...

if you ahve 3-500 dollars more to work with, you can acutallt get a very nice sounding system... if you go to my website: www.simplicityinsound.com, and hit install gallery, there are acutally a few installs in thatprice range. the most recent being the G35 sedan i did :

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128938

if you wish, i can design and get you a system that would sound really good for that price range 1100-1300 total cost (excluding the HU), and promise that if installed correctly, will sound as good as can be with in your budget. and also you have the peace of mind in knowing that everyting will be fully warrantied.

you may be able to get things slightly cheaper online of course, but no warranty and there are just so many choices.

anyway, I am by no means pushing this on you, i try to help G and Z forum members as much as i can and have some references around...

if intersted, just send me a PM

good luck

very cool, hope you got a xenon PG amp? just becareful mounting that MBQ tweet in the stock location, chances are its going to tear your ears off with screaming highs at moderately high volume if you put it there...

other than that, just get a really sound install...90 percent of how a system turns out is in the install

i would think since its a hatch it must trap alot of bass. most peoples systems ive seen here have more than 1 sub im curious do the people on this forum who have 1 sub are you satisfied with the bass it gives out?
