250 bucks just to run battery wire, and ground? and assuming you are supplying the wire? yikes...i'd charge 50 bucks to run battery, ground, and remote wire at the most lol...

250 would more be like, you got very high quality wiring, and running, batt, ground, rem, and bought and installed high quality rca cables...

Wow,,,$250 for running power wire from battery,,ground wire and remote? That is a major rip off. I am with B,,maybe $50. But, for my friends and such,,I never charge them for things like that...I just enjoy doing car audio. Again as B said,,,,,if you were running high end RCA's, Speaker wire to doors, amp rack in cubby, distribution block,,ect. ect. I could see where it could add up to $250.

250 is waaaaay more than you should pay. I just had an install done and it cost me 480 for 0 gauge power, rca's, install 4 speakers, 2 amp, a cap, a sub, and a little bit of custom hole cutting. You need to go somewhere else

I was able to run the power cable with a lot of help from my brother fairly quickly. I had never done any work like that on my car before and we were able to do a complete install (hu, amp, components, wires, etc) in the course of the weekend. Look on this site for the posts that guide you through it and save yourself the money.

Dude, just take it to a place like Best Buy or Circuit City. They'll do just about anything for about $50 for each major component (amp, sub, HU). Have several done at once and they'll cut you a discount too.

Or at least get a quote from them to compare.

Stay away from Besy Buys and Circuit Citys. I have heard bad experences with them from other people and Z owners.

$250 is way to much to just run power, ground and remote wire. Unless that is includeing parts like Fuses/fuse holders, power blocks, RCAs, and the wires them selfs.

Take it to BB or CC, they good work and their prices are pretty reasonable. Just to run the power and ground wire it should take you about an hour. If you want to run RCA's down the center console it will take about another 30 minutes. I wouldn't pay more than about $100 for parts and labor for this kind of job.
