Audio Gurus Please Help
I am a bit uneducated about all this mobile audio stuff so I have a few questions. My goals are to get rid of the horrible stock set up, but I am not yet ready to get a sub put in yet due to the added costs.
After listening to many different speakers, I have determined that I like the Boston Z6's best out of the component sets I listened to. My questions follow.
1.) Do you know if the Boston Acoustics Z6 series will fit in the doors of our cars or are they to deep?
2.)Would it be wise to use a spacer or the pods on something like this?
3.) I am thinking of running these and some rear fill speakers with an Alpine 4.150 for power. Will that be enough power and is that a good amp?
4.) Can you reccommend a good head unit for this. I don't really need anything for an Ipod or anything, just something good for this set up and would be satallite ready and work for this set up. I have been recommended from a local retailer the Pioneer DEH-P5901B or the Alpine 9856 but I didn't know if they were ok or if there was better.
Any other suggestions please chime in. Thanks for your help.

almost all aftermarket speakers will require spacers...so either get spacers or door pods.

are you talking about the Alpine PDX4.150? if so those amps are incredible. you won't believe how small they are and how much power they pack. I would say it's more then enough power for fronts and rear fill, it would be overkill for the rears infact. The sound quality is very good, very clean power with no appreciatable noise and they are very efficient. The whole line of PDX amps are very good.
Yeah I was, same model. It seemed like a nice amp, but I didn't quite know for sure.
Can't always believe these sales guys at times. It seems anything I look at is good according to them.
