Default Need help with Panasonic CQ-VD1007U DVD in dash head unit

I just bought an '05 350Z that came with a Panasonic CQ-VD1007U. Today when I got in my car and turned it on the head unit gave me and ID code error and asked for me to enter the ID code. I checked the manual and it said that theres a 4 digit code you can set to render the unit useless if stolen. It's supposed to be triggered when ever the unit is disconnected from the power supply. I didn't take off the battery or touch anything, just shut the car off last night like normal and now I got this error. I tried to turn the unit off and back on but now I get do display at all. The unit still powers up, flips out and beeps when I hit buttons but no display. The drive spins and begins to read discs when I put one in but won't play anything. Any ideas?

The code cannot be reset by the user. You'll have to contact Panasonic to have it reset. Why didn't the seller give you the code?
