Dashboard access through center console?
Figured you A/V guys would know...can I get to the area behind the passenger dash if I remove the center console? I have an annoying squeak there and know this would be easy to fix if I can just get to the damn thing. Any other ideas would be welcome...thanks.

nope! see https://my350z.com/forum/showpost.ph...7&postcount=43
theres a ton of stuff there already, but with the main dash piece in and with the ventilation pipes, you wont able to get there.
but, its fairly to get the passenger side panels off.
youll need some tools though and maybe even some small hands.
tools:
8mm 1/4 inch deep socket
10mm socket
screw driver
long narrow flathead screw driver
start by removed the door trim piece next to the kick plate.
next, lift up the weather stripping
then, remove the kick panel from the lower right hand side of the floorboad. It has a plaastic nut and two pop abs holding it in. I undo the nut and stick a screw driver into the gap of the panel and door frame with the tip right at the pop tab. I use the leverage and it makes it easy.
then, youll now have some phillips screws showing, undo both.
then, remove the drink holder using the flathead. You have to stick it in the assembly and find a tab that releases it from the hinges.
with removal of the drink holder, youll see a 10mm bolt. undo it.
look under the lower panel and search for any extra botlts, there shouldnt be any.
pull the panel off, it has some of the pop tabs on it. be gentle and take your time.
now with it off youll see whats in the pics i posted in the other thread. You have to remove the white box (2 phillips screws iirc)
unplug battery.
heres the trick part, the airbag is connteced to a brace thats connected to the upper panel. But, you cant reach all the bols for the brace from under the dash. You have to undo 6 8mm gold colored nuts to release the airbag from its brace.
also, remove any uncoverd 10mm bolts holding the upper panel ( i dont remember there being any)
Lift up panel, be careful with it. You should now see everything in the pics and find your squeek.
