Default HU Suggestions?

Anyone have any suggestions on an HU that is around 150-200 that has Ipod capabilities? I dont want anything special like navi or anything just a plain old HU, one where I will get my moneys worth.

Retail? Ebay? New? Used? Are you going to be using this to power factory speakers or are you planning on upgrading the whole system with amps and speakers?

Look into brands like:
Pioneer
Kenwood
JVC

These 3 have lots of features for reasonable prices in the budget range you are looking for (especially JVC). You will probably get the most out of your dollar with JVC.

A quick search on Crutchfield.com..................
Here is a JVC for $160:

Or another JVC for $170:

No iPod adapter necessery for either one.......How great is that?

You can just replace the HU on the Bose setup. For the money you want to spend, just keep the stock HU and get a PAC adaptor or similiar to do the iPod.

OK, Just added the Kenwood X591 to the cart in crutchfield.
It will come out to $199 with FREE wiring harness to connect to the factory bose setup, FREE dash kit, FREE iPod cable, FREE install instructions.

That falls exactly within your budget. And you get what you need to install this with your factory Bose setup.

No, i added it to the cart to see what crutchfield was going to give you as far as adapters for the Bose integration. I already have my audio system installed.

But you shouldn't be afraid to install your own headunit. Crutchfield gives you step-by-step instructions and it's really easy. And that Kenwood unit is pretty nice.
