Zenenclsoure two twelve inch subwoofer box.
Can anybody tell me anything about the Zenenclsoure two twelve inch subwoofer box. I purchased the dual ten inch box, but after all the years of listening to 12's these dual 10' inch type r's just don't go low enough for me! Any advice would be appreciated.

I didn't know Mike made a dual 12" box for the Z.........
EDIT:
Oh looky here - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...spagenameZWD1V
Is this the box you are referring to?
If you don't need the hatch space and 1.1 cu ft per sub is enough for the subs you want to mount in the box, then i say go for it. Zenclosures would not put out a product that was sub-par.

2 10's are all you can fit under the strutbar with Zenclosures Strut box, believe me I tried! So I like a little trunks space so I just bought 2 10" FI Q series subs because I recently heard them at a car show here in Fontucky in another car with .55cuft for each sealed w/t a 1000WRMS to EACH sub and let me tell ya..........................plenty LOW!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to get mine in and I have .70cuft sealed, so even LOWER!!!!
Check out there forum.......cool peepsVVVVVVVVV

10's hit so hard....why would you want the deep nasty rumble of 12's....don't they sound distorted a bit...but then again some people love that deep deep bass... but in the Z....damn.....your ears can take that?...lol

you like loud punchie mid bass for 10's your choice
i like clean , clear , NON DISTORTED , low 30 hertz frequencies , from my 1, 12" , with 2200 watts on one 12"
what do you even know about that

it is not like that
most here like 10's
basically cause it is what fits
nothing wrong with that
he has been riding 2 , 10's , and he says it does not getting low enough
he has a point
don't associate distorion with a 12" sub , as they do not go hand and hand
peace

some issues i see with this enclosure
you need subs that are gonna work sealed
example a RF T2, Or RE XXX, and heavy hitters are gonna be recommended for a ported enclosure
also something that has 3" of excursion , like if you went ahead and put and RE , or an RF sub in these twin sealed enclosure , the tolerance from the inside of the hatch to the surround on the sub when fully 3 " excurrsion is peaking , my guess is the sub surround will hit the hatch
so to use this particular encloure you need a sub that will work sealed , and has limited excursion
and doing this will be louder than your 2 , 10"s but not to much deeper
you are better off doing 1 sub , 12" ported , and running like 1500 to 4000 watts to it
the one 12" , ported , with 2000 watts will yeild close to 150 db , and hit way low frequency, and be quite loud

Problem with that is there is not a single twelve box with vents made for the 350 Z! That is the real problem. Surely sombody has to have this box or a boxe with a single twelve or dual twelve?

no i dont mind takeing out the tire....i talked to a guy at tc customs and he will make a custom fiberglassed enclosure for two 12" subs with plenty of air space to the hit low bass that i love....plus he will make it where i can take out the box to get to my tire but i am contenplating takeing it out and dynomating the whole trunk to ad to the air space cause it sound like a lot of weight any sugg... ?? there going to do this for $600 i think its a good price and for a little xtra they will put anything else in i want like a amp rack or tv ect...

Just so you know Scott who owns and designs FI subs...also designed ALL RE subs! He was in business with a partner that used his ability and now he is KICKIN AZZ with his own FI Audio company! In fact, they are breaking some world class SPL records at competitions! " world record at 151.3 in the Pro-stock 0-600 class".

12" sub box under strut bar... kind of....
I'm building this one right now for one 12" Visonik and a Solid Audio F-29. The site pretty much walks ya through the creation of this box. Kinda complex but will be cool when done. And you don't loose ALL of the trunk space or the spare tire. I'm starting on the fiberglass tomorrow . Here's the site:
