Default AMP question

my current setup includes polksr6500 components, and infinity coaxils in the rear. i was advised from a local audio shop that my components are not receiving enough power. (i'm pushing a JL 300/4). I have a 300/2 laying around as well. I wanted to know should I use the 300/2 for the front components and the 300/4 minus 2 channels for the rear? will that work out okay?

i couldnt really see how the 300/4 would be not enough power...

but you components can handle RMS between 50-125 watts. so yeah, the 300/2 would be perfect for them.

as for the 300/4 for the rears, that sucks that you'll be missing out on 2 channels. unless you bridge the amp and get 150 watts to each rear speaker. have you thought about putting components in the rear? then the bridged 300/4 would be perfect for the rear.

that is a possibility too, because it does suck about those 2 channels. and i don't want to go through the hassle of getting another 300/2 and sale the 300/4....

forget the rear, and use the 300/4 om the fronts only, the SR6500's xover has bi-amp inputs, so you can put all four channels of it into the xover...

without buying new amps, this would be my way to do it or i think you can not use the SR oxver at all and just run it fully active with the 300/4...
