Just wondering what you guys have for after market stereos. And what kind of set up you have?

Old school... Kenwood Kameleon KDC-X869 deck, Sony Mobile ES MX-7547 amp and two Boston Pro 10.4LF's. None of the new stuff compares to the old stuff. New stuff's all made in China crap. Corporations care more about profit margins than quality products now.

Sub: JL 10W7 in custom corner molded trunk box

MB Quart PCE 216s Components Front and Back
Alpine Bluetooth module

I'm running two caps (1 for each amp) and haven't had any problems with the power. My amps get pretty hot (they're installed behind the seat in the cubby/bose sub compartment) though they haven't gotten so hot that they turn off.

Overall the setup sounds very nice...if u like bright speakers.

wondering with such a conservative ohm load why they are getting so hot


4 ohm they should get warm

W7 not 6...

i'm pushing them with about 1000-1100 watts right now.
