Default Running Wires from Trunk Area Through the Center Console?

I'm going to install the Nissan iPod adapter. It plugs into the existing N bus harness in the trunk on the right where SAT normally goes. I then need to run the wire for the iPod back to the front of the car up the center console.

I searched and couldn't find any good pictures, but is there a natural opening in the middle of the car there for running the wiring into the console area?

Thanks,

Clark

I wouldn't call it a natural opening for running wires, but there is plenty of room.

He's right...plenty of room.
You need to remove all the panels in back to get to it including the pillar panels and the rear hump where the speakers are.

Check this link out for some info...

Looks like fun!

Maybe I'll just get an N bus extender cable, mount the iPod adapter under the passenger seat, run the cable along the door area, and then up into the console.

It looks like it's a lot easier to run the cabling down by the door than take all of the hump plastic off.

Thanks!

You'll be making more work for yourself. Take the time, remove the panels, and do it right. It's really not as time consuming as you think. Actually its pretty easy.

^^^^ True that, I pulled every interior panel, all the carpeting, the seats, and everything else you can imagine out of the car in about 5 hours. If you read up on how everything comes apart, you should be able to do it in far less than that. I would venture that having taken everything apart once I could probably take it all apart and put it all back in in 5 hours total.

You don't need to pull everything out of the car, so you could easily do it much faster than I did.

Plus, you get to spend quality time with your car.
