You need a 7" 'wide screen'.

A 7" widescreen will fit.
A 7" regular (4:3) screen will not fit.

Farenheit 7001 is an example of a non-VGA 7" widescreen.
The Xenarc is an example of a VGA 7" widescreen.

It's not the screen size you have to worry about. It's the housing or case size. This varies from model to model.

The viewing area of a 7.2" widescreen should fit with no problem.

The plastic casing around it might have to be modified to fit depending on the brand you choose. Also if there are buttons, the Nav hole might have to be cut.

FYI, with my 7" Farenheit the sides of the casing were a snug fit.

I dont think so... my 7" xenarc fits without casing only, and viewable area is exactly the size of the opening.

you need a 7" screen

not 7.2, not 7.1, 7.0

farenheit and xenarc are the only names Ive seen used.
