Default Capacitor? Z altenator

for a 450watt amp (250 ARMS) do I need a cap for the Z? If so, what size .05 or .1?

not sure what kinda power is the altenator is putting out.

Thanks

You probably won't need one but obviously having one won't hurt. I've seen systems with 1000watts not having caps w hile at the same time I've seen systems with 600watts need them. My My amp, rated at 600watts doesn't require one but I'm only powering one sub with 300watts.
