Default question

So i got 2 12" w6 v2 had them on my previous car. I really wanna get them in the z badley i found a 2 12" enclosure made by zenclosure. But it looks really big and heavy. How much you think it will slow down with taht big 2 12"box made by zenclosure and 2 12" w6s. I dont really wanna lose performance handling or straight line. What kinda damage you guys think it will do .1 off my quater mile ?

Any weight added will be detrimental to performance. If you are that concerned about performance, I would look at a lighter alternative to two 12" subs and a +/- 2 ft^3 enclosure that might add as much as 90 lbs.

If you're putting a system in a car then you're really not worried about weight savings.

you are right i probally wouldnt if i hadnt previously spend 2000 on subs amp box and interiors. But i already have everything for a sick sound system. Alpine 9855, 2 12" w6's , Jl audio e1800d 980watt rms @2ohm ,focal interiors, 4 channel fosgate 400 to power the interiors and a 2 farada cap. Im sick of them sitten in my liven room lol. Also to the guy said the w6s wont fit you know which box im talking about right its the 2 12" that drop in the trunk and face the subs up tword the glass. Last time i checked it seemed like it had enough air space and would fit without issues but ill double check it again to make sure. You guys are right if i didnt already have the 12" w6 i would just put 1 10" w7 and a monoblock 500 but i already got this stuff so i want to use it.

so you went thru the motions of thinking about getting stereo equipment

then coming up with a list of desired products

then sourcing the best place to buy the stuff

then paying $2000 for the stuff

now thinking about to much weight for your car

sounds really stupid to me

think before you act

not after

His first post says he had this stuff in his previous car.

I say, sell the 12" subs on ebay and get a nice 10" and a strut box.
