Alpine Head Unit
#6
I just got the iDA-x001 ipod only headunit and although it is only 2v, with it hooked up to my Alpine MRP F450 amp (bridged down to 2 channel pushing my new V.2 Type R components, It's more than enough. This H/U has 24bit D/A Burr Brown converter! most cds play back at like 12bit I think. The sound is amazing! I have the bass/treble/sub settings set right aroun 0 (+/-1) and it's almost overkill.

Yup, I was really disappointed about that as well, especially when Eclipse, Kenwood and most Pioneers offer 5 volt preouts on a lot of their models. I am going to have to spend another $400 for a four volt.

Try the passive EQ firtst, you won't be dissapointed. I think kenwood has the 11 band that has been around for years but it does make a world of difference. Trust, me on this one and it will only runn you aroun 168 bucks.
But back to my original question about the double din for the 350Z, is there one made?
