Default Installing Carputer, but laptop has no VGA

after reading all the extensive threads on the carputer i am finally dong one. So far i have bought a 7'' lillput touch screen and the power inverter. i am running into a dilemma because i need the screen to run to my laptop but my laptop does not have a VGA connector in the back like most laptops do.

How can i fix this problem?

can someone help me step by step in what i would need to get in order to get video from my laptop to the lilliput screen.

i think what i am going to do is get a usb 2.0 VGA adapter, it is 6 inches long so i will need a usb extension cable to make this work. this is what comes to my mind. If i am doing this wrong plz help me choose the right products.

Wondering if the laptop will actually output video to a usb port. Have you checked with the manufacturer of the laptop on how to get the VGA out?

i googled usb vga adapter and i found many cables that basically allow you to get a vga connecter thru a usb. as the title says on the webpage that cpu's that don't have vga outlets on the back of their laptops have to use this adapter.
