Default Decisions, Decisions...

Hi all, I'm stuck in a bind. I don't know wether to get the Jensen VM9021TS (it has DVD, SD reader, Navi Upgrade Capabilities, TV, CD, Ipod Cable, XM capable) for $600 or the Pioneer AVIC-D3 (Navi , DVD, Ipod Capable, XM capable) for $1,029 w/ipod cable. I really like the Jensen, but I don't know how reliable it is. I also like the Pioneer because of the navigation, but honestly, I'm never traveling in my Z or get lost here in LA (pretty much same routine every day) so the navi would be more of a luxury. I know this Jensen model is soon to be replaced with a new model so I don't know if they are going to stop selling them. Please help me out, thanks.

thanks for the info, I really like the feature of the Jensen, but reliability will always be an issue. The factor that draws me to the Jensen is the $450 price difference from the Pioneer. I like that fact that it has a TV tuner built-in, but who knows how good the quality of the picture is, hmmmm, I might just get the Pioneer.

I had a jvc once, and it randomly broke. The springs popped out of it while ejecting a cd. I also had a sony catch on fire, never bought one of those again. I have had my alpine for about 3 years now with no problems.

i have a 7" jensen all in 1 dvd in my Z came with the car (bought used). i have never had any problems with it so far. picture is great, sound is good. the only thing i dont like is 2 of the *****, never fell off for me yet (knock on wood) but they do feel easy to break or come off.

you deff get what you pay for but if you take care of it, it will last and its got a descent picture.

if i had to buy it myself ild prob. go with the pioneer but if money is tight and thats all you can afford its not a bad piece just take care of it.
