proper way to remove door panels?
Don't get pissed if this is a stupid question, but I've been attempting to get access to the speakers to replace them. Can anyone clue me in? I don't want to just start pulling on the door panels and figure out there's screws somewhere I couldn't find.
there are screws, 3 in each door from what I remember - Someone has posted how to do it, I just don't have the link handy. Do a search on 'door panel' - you will find it - has pics and everything.
You gave me a good idea (I think)

After reading this Thread.. I deceided to replace make a box to put in the stock location and have it firing up instead of mounting it like th bose replacement..
I made a wood air tight enclosure using the measurments that alphared suggested..
Much too my surprise.. the sound is 200% better... The bass is tight and deep.. I kinda rushed it but screwed up in a few areas..
First if you use the measurements that were suggested as i did. You wont get .7 cubic feet. I used these measurments give or take a 1/2 inch and I wound up with about 5.5 cubic feet for the internal volume... Each board of MDF is an inch thick which cuts down on the volume.
Using the external measurments you come closer to .8cu feet.
In anycase my sub recommends .7cubic feet.. but a little less wont hurt.. he bass sounds good enough for me.. If anybody is intrested.. PM me or reply I can post my exact measurements and pics of the install..
Trust me if you have a replacement sub in the stock location behind the drivers seat you need a box.. Dont cheat yourself..
