Default 2006 non-bose OEM radio swap with bose OEM possible?

I tried to do a search to find some results but didn't seem to find anything besides pre 2006 HU swap questions with 2006 HU.

I have a stock radio headunit in my '06. I was thinking of swapping with the bose OEM that came with the 2006 since I would like to play mp3s. I was thinking of going with OEM since I want everything to look flush/original. Can anyone confirm if this has been done before or if its possible? I believe the HU dimensions are the same and that the difference is like a connection or two in the back?

As far as I know, replacing the entire system will be the easiest way if you want the factory bose... but imo, i think that same amount of money can be spent better by going aftermarket... PLUS, factory bose is not worth time, effort, and money for what they are worth...
I'm sure you will find a headunit that integrates to our Z flawlessly.

Won't work. You will also need the OEM Bose amp which all the speaker wires will be routed through. A lot more hassle than it's worth.

No Highs, No Lows, it must be BOSE.

Just get a pioneer/alpine headunit around 200$ or less, you'll be better off
