Default Simple Dynamat Question

Im about to pick up Dynamat Extreme, its a bulk pack with nine sheets totaling 36sq ft. to do my doors (skins and shell), complate trunk, and just some parts on the floor. Just curious as to how many sq ft. it takes to do the trunk and doors.

Don't buy DYnamat, you'll overpay..

Get Raammat... One roll should be sufficient.

i get a real good deal on dynamat so its gonna be that or ixos dampening. I can get 36 sq ft of either one for under 100, just need to know if that will be enough to do the car.

And both of my choices are thicker and proven to work. Why is everything a argument with ppl.

My question is how much do i need, i know most of you have some some kind of sound dampening to your cars and i just need to know how much to purchase. Not looking for options on what to purchase.

I used 1 and a half packs of the bulk dynamat extreme for my G. I did the entire trunk, the doors, underneath both front seats, and the rear seats as well. You should probably be able to get away with only using 1 pack for your Z

I agree, the dynamat is much thicker than the edead that is a dollar a foot and works better.

I used 1 bulk pack and it was enough to do the trunk and under the panels behind the seats, but I lay it on thick.

to answer your question I think you will need about 50 square feet to do the doors inside and out, the floor and the truck. But it all depends on how you apply it. For me I wanted as much dampening as possible, I didnt care to much about the extra weight.

From your earlier post it sounded like price was an important factor for you, sorry for trying to help you out.

To answer your question, it depends on how much you want to use. For a decent amount of deadening you will probably use 50-65 sq ft to do what you want, but you could easily use up to 100 sq ft if you are **** about laying it down.

Just buy one pack and see how far it goes for you cause you can always get more. Some people like to use more than others.

And for future reference, you can catch more flys with honey than vinegar.
