well my stock head unit jammed one of my cds and wont let it out...so before i spend money at the stealership, i will just buy a new head unit...this is what i am looking for... a decent head unit in the 200 dollar range just to hold out for a couple months up to a year until i can get a navigation double din...i am looking for a a single din that i can play my ipod through easily..i already have my 2 alpine v12 amps and 2 kicker 10's with jl XR series for mids/highs...i was looking at a alpine head unit because i have an alpine 6 cd changer but i been reading that alpine is going downhill...can someone help on a decent single din head unit please?

 

i would look into one of the pioneer IP or somthin like that you can hook anything up that goes into a usb input on your computer. So you can just plug your ipod directly or you could even go get a damn hardrive and put 250gigs on it and plug it in lol you would never run out but i love pioneer, i got the new 7800 for mine for 375 or so its full color but i know your not wanting to spend that much. But i would go pioneer just cause of sound options personally.

 

I would go with a alpine. Thats what I have always owned and have never been let down yet. I have also owned 4 + units with no issues.

 

I have an Alpine 9857 and it's great. However, it will cost you a little more than $200.
