From what I have read,,,the Blackbird II suppose to be released sometime in June.....

I would love to hear about the W-205 as well,,,,if anyone here has installed it.

I love my W-200,,,,but curious if its worth selling and upgrading to the W-205?

Anyone?

Just got mine today. Love it. However I still have the blackbird 100 and will be exchanging it for the 200 when the local store receives a shipment.

Time to find a bypass...

Endless Shock is right, it wont work. However if you would like to dock your first-gen blackbird with the new w205 headunit, you could probably use the PMD-DOK cable.

sorry guys but i'm a noob when it comes to audio. My understanding is that the blackbird II is a mobile gps unit you can attach to the iva-w205, so does this mean there is no permanent attachment you can install with the iva-w205 to have GP? I like a lot of the features of this unit, but if I can get an avic-d3 for the same price as this unit and it has gps, i just can't seem to justify it.

the blackbird II is a portable gps that docks into iva-205. a permanent gps for this unit is the NVE-N872A which is mounted remotely and navigation is stored in a dvd disk. the blackbird II navigation is preloaded in a hard drive and when docked to the iva-w205 uses the screen to enlarge its display. the avic-d3 is similar to the nve-872a but comes with a 6.1 display and navigation is stored to a dvd disk. the reason why i chose alpine over pioneer was the portability of the gps.

I have been looking at getting the IVA-W205 myself to replace my IVA-D310. How do you guys like the W205? Does it get in the way of your shift **** any? How much did you get it for?
