rear 6.5's..coax or component ??
Time to get rid of the stock system in the 06 z. Here's what I'm thinking.
Alpine 9885 HU
JL 300.4 amp
MB Quart QSD or QSC216 components front (probably in a pair of Mikes PODs)
MB Quarts in the rear deck
200 watt 8" Bazooka tube in the Bose sub location
First off, I know the Bazooka is not the best choice . But I'm more interested in quality mids/mid bass than a hitting sub right now. Plus its easy to remove when/if I decide to up upgrade. BTW, has anyone ever tried a tube in the z ?
Now the question... I know the front components are more important than the rear deck speakers. What do you guys suggest for the rear deck ? Coax or component or does it make that much difference ??? I know some dont use anything in the rear, but I think I will definately put somethng there. Any suggestions ???

Components firing into your seat are not going to make much of a difference. Better componenets firing into your rear seat are going to sound better, but they still firing into the seat. You need to focus your cash on the front stage, get a good amplifier for the MB Quarts up front, not a pyramid amp..

I replaced the junk OEM rear speakers (they are so bad as to damage listening) with intermediate level Infinity coaxials, but I still turn them down to almost nothing.
