Default 10" bazooka tube, is it possible?

I really want to utilize the stock sub location and I have a JL 10w3v2 left over from my old car's system. It's gonna sound like sh*t if I just put it straight in without a box, but I don't want to go through the hassle of constructing a box in that tiny little space either. Is it possible to fit a 10" bazooka tube in there? I searched and found that an 8"er will fit, but that's weak. Anyone know if I can fit it in there with or without modification?

What is the length of the tube? If it fits, it will be firing sideways which I don't think would sound good. You'd be better off laying the tube down in your hatch area.

Yeah see that's what I was trying to avoid. This is my only car, and the "trunk" space is small enough as it is, so I really wanted to get the sub behind the seat. What I was thinking of was having the sub still fire forwards towards the seat, and modding the tube so it fits behind the sub. You're right, it probably would sound terrible if I just threw the tube into that little compartment.

The 8" tube would be nice, and could fit under the strut bridge; just replace the sub with something stronger.

Honestly I like the little BOX that fits in the left corner, holds a 10" I think; not sure who makes it.

I like where the other subs are in the hatch, recessed under the strut brace..

That is the corner box from Zenclosures. Google zenclosures and check them out. Mike is a super guy and might have something that will work for you.

I had an 8" tube in my old Z. Fit perfectly and fired in whatever direction I wanted it to. I assume the 10" wouldn't be that much larger. My 8 fit fine wrapped with a lot of carpet padding to reduce vibration and hold it in place.

It sounded pretty good. No rattles, added a little bit of bass but by no means any "thump". Could hear/feel it well from both seat locations. Sounded basically stock from outside though. I think I bought mine for like 100 bucks. Was well worth the 100.

i had an 8" bazooka in the stock cubby
before i actually decided on a system,
and it sounded good, wasnt head blowing, but definatly decent

sounded better in the trunk, but you dont want it in the trunk cause it will be ugly!

i am pretty sure you could fit a 10" and all you would need to do it grind away the metal lip that the stock sub bracket bolts on,
i was going to do this, but couldnt be bothered.

i used a stack of cotton felt to hold it in place,
it never moved after about 6 months.

10" would be better if you feel like grinding metal everywhere...
maybe some super heavy duty metal snippers would cut thru it, and make no mess.
