Default problem with installation??**UPDATED**

I have a 05 touring with nav and bose system. will there be big problems with installing a HU such as the W205 or D3? I'm considering buying one.

Default complete BS

well i went to the top 2 reputable custom audio shops and Circuit city and best buy here in the Central valley. they all claimed the same thing...they said that since i have the OEM navi they would have to do a complete rewire of everything and relocate the navi box or something like that(extra pain in the ****). If I just wanted JUST a Dvd/music player no nav i couldnt use my bose speakers and would have to buy complete new ones, and wouldn't be able to use the navi. so basically it's a cluster F**k of problems.

Either A)I get a double din with navi/dvd/music and completely lose my OEM Navi or B)pay up the a$$ for a complete custom job and risk a whole bunch sheit going wrong!!

this really sucks!! I remember reading here on the forums about a kit that allowed the stock navi to play dvd's but i cant remember the company and if worse comes to worse i'll just get an ipod integration in to the stock system..

anybody with any advice or knowledge.

No one has an answer or has experienced this dilemma.......One of the shops called me back and told me that it would be best to just take out both the stock navi and bose system and completely upgrade.

what do some of you think about that?? should i do it or not??

uh no...

you dont need a reiwre of anything...just need a bose adapter, and some extra wiring owrk if you want to retain stock nav voice...

and you can have both navies going at the same time, even have both talk at the same time, lol that owuld be kinda funky, though the stock nav will need to talk through a searpate speaker...

too bad you are a bit far(2.5 hours), or i can take care of it for you no problem...
