Default Help with wiring to battery

I was curious what was the best path to take to feed a line from an aftermarket HU to the battery? Do you go behind the passenger side dash somehow and through the ring near the kickpanel? Anyone have pics or a better description?

So, to get it to the HU, do you have to wire it through the center console from behind the seat? Can you go across the dash somehow?

Once you get it through the firewall, pull it down and run it underneath the carpet (right to left) on the passanger's side to the back of the headunit.
