A different question!!
Did this lower the noise from the back of the car? I sort of complain over a little too much noise coming from the rear wheel housing (wind and road / tire sound). I was contemplating creating such a solution i see you've made ... but without the amplifier.

if the music is off yes a bit of rear road noise
i have not matted any part of my car in the install
if you have road noise in the rear ,remove, carpet , jack , spare, until bare metal is exposed , dynamat entire rear , then re-assemble all you dis-assembled and this should greatly reduce your problem
