MB Quarts and Stock HU
I did some searching and it seems like everyone was referring to hooking up amps to the stock HU. I have a set of MB Quart separates that have a xover that comes with them. Can i use this setup on the stock radio w/o buying anything else?
You can always run the factory speaker wire into your cross-over and wire your seperate's normally from the crossover. Although,,,,I wouldnt recommend it. The stock unit is not a quality unit,,,,,it offers many, many problems.....And,,,,it will not provide enough power to do the seperate's justice. If you really,,,really,,,,really,,,want to keep the stock unit,,,I would get the inline adpt...so you can run RCA's, add an amplifier and make your MB Quarts happy...
i suppose you could, but why would you? if you run components, you will want an amp to push them. as for the wiring, i would imagine that the stock wires to the door speakers could be used to hook into the xover. good luck.

Im not a sound nut, and the $ i had for my stereo is tied up with some guy ripping me of for some wheels. My stockers are blown, so i just wanted to put something in there for now just to have.
then if thats the case, i would recommend picking up some other 6.5s somewhere. get some pioneers or sonys on sale. even if you arent a music nut, a set of coax 6.5s will sound a lot better than a component set that isnt getting any power to em. besides, the install will be easier.
