Default programming the navigation

My wife is usually the one who programs the navigation when we go somewhere together. It's very annoying that she can't enter an address if the car is moving.

What are you supposed to do on the highway? Take an exit or pull over to just enter an address? I understand this is a safety feature (or not as much so but mostly Nissan covering their own asses) but does anyone know a way around it? Anyone rewired theirs?

Thanks,

Mike

im not sure how the stock nav works, but if it uses the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) in order to determine whether or not the car is moving, you might be able to work around it.

i know this works on some other NAV systems, but i have no clue about the nissan setup!

good luck.

Did you ever figure out a work-around?
